Alicante Newton College is a private non grant maintained British School, founded in 1991 and is a member of N.A.B.S.S; E.C.I.S. and A.C.A.D.E.. The School offers a full British Primary Curriculum complemented by the obligatory subjects of the Spanish Curriculum required by the Spanish Ministry of Education and the Royal Decree regarding foreign schools in Spain.
Javea Lady Elizabeth School Founded in 1987 by Veronica Barnes, The Lady Elizabeth School is an International co-educational day school for 250+ pupils aged 4-18. The pupil body at the time their web page was written, apparently 1997, represented around 17 different nationalities in total, though the majority of pupils were British, with approximately 20% Spanish.
Javea Xabia International College is an international co-educational school situated in a pleasant area of Javea and very close to sea and all amenities. The school offers a wide-ranging balanced curriculum, which follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales, combined with the requirements of the Spanish educational system, leading to internationally recognised qualifications. English is the main language of instruction. All pupils are taught Spanish and students are also able to study German as a native or second language and French.
San Rafael Sierra Bernia is a privately owned coeducational day school offering British education from 3 to 18 years to pupils of all nationalities. The school is fully authorised by the relevant ministries for both foreign and Spanish nationals. Founded in 1973, Sierra Bernia is situated in a quiet residential area close to the village of Alfaz Del Pi with easy access to the main Benidorm/ Altea coast road and also the motor way.
Standards are generally high.
