Axarquia Online Animal Rescue

Welcome

Founded in August 2011, Axarquia Online Animal Rescue is an organisation dedicated to helping and re-homing animals in the Axarquia region, Andalucia Southern Spain. Our team of volunteers is on hand to help in any way they can. Please take time to browse through our site and if you have any questions or are able to help in any way at all, please do not hesitate to contact us. If you have an enquiry about an animal in the Gallery, please quote their name and Ref. Number when contacting us.

Urgent Appeal

Sometimes we get called on to rescue a dog or cat immediately to remove it from a life threatening situation. We have no premises and cannot afford the expense of kennelling so these animals and us rely on them being placed in a temporary home. These volunteers are very important, they provide us with the opportunity to place a lost or abandoned pet in a safe environment whilst the search for the owner is carried out and if necessary advertise for a permanent home.

If all our foster homes are fully occupied and there is nowhere available to place an animal that is in desperate need or in danger then, unfortunately, it cannot be rescued.
We have saved many animals in the past few weeks and have earmarked more for saving as soon as they can be caught. WE NEED YOU! Please remember that you can foster an animal for a short period only. It can be for a few days to a few weeks. By doing this you help to save a life!

THANKS!
